Fowler High School Robotics is an extracurricular activity for students who are interested the science and technology field. Through Robotics, students are able to experience hands-on training in science and technology, and are exposed to the possibilities of a career in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM).

The Robotics team is part of the First Robotics of Michigan. They meet for 6 weeks to build a robot that will be capable of proforming required tasks for that season. They compete against 90+ other schools during the month of March.

What students have to say about Robotics:

“This program taught me how to work as a team, how to present in public, the intricate details of electronics, organization skills, and so much more!”

“Speed is very important, don’t use timing for auton unless you have to. Don’t be afraid to ask for help.”

“I have learned a lot of lessons through FRC. I have learned leadership skills, how to work as a team, and have acquired many new talents and skills through it as well. The advice I would give a rookie team is to keep trying and to be innovative and creative. I would say that even the craziest ideas can work if you put enough work into it.”

“I learned a lot of things about myself, mainly new interests, such as enjoying scouting and designing t-shirts. I also learned a bit about electricity and wiring, so that was pretty cool. The main advice I would give a rookie team is don’t be afraid to ask for help. People in FRC are extremely nice and very willing to help anyone in need.”
