Budget and Salary/Compensation Transparency Reporting

Introduction:  Section 18 (2) of the Public Act 94 of 1979, the State School Aid Act, as amended, requires each school district and intermediate school district to post certain information on its website. The Annual Budget & Transparency Reporting is an opportunity to communicate to our community on how we utilize the resources that are provided to us.

Compensation amounts based on fiscal year 2022-2023 information:

Superintendent (2022 W-2 Wages:  $131,900)

Salary:    $120,900.00
Insurances: $8,873.00
Car Allowance: $3,600.00
Total Compensation: $133,373.00

Michigan Association of School Administrators: $2,260.00
Michigan Association of School Boards: $1,809.00
Michigan Association of Secondary School Principals: $750.00
Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association: $375.00
Michigan School Business Officials/Michigan Assoc. for Pupil Transportation: $0.00

Section 10 - District Paid Lobbying Costs

In a shared-cost agreement with Shiawassee RESD and Clinton County RESA, Fowler Public Schools paid $690 toward the cost of legislative liaison services in 2022-2023.

Section 11 - Approved Deficit Elimination Plan

The district has not incurred a deficit, and therefore no Deficit Elimination Plan is required.
